The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a national organization open to all students enrolled in the occupational therapy program at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

SOTA members have an opportunity to meet new people, learn more about occupational therapy, and increase awareness about current issues in the profession. SOTA also brings together occupational therapy students of various academic years to provide support and ease the difficulties faced by new students every year.

SOTA plans fund-raising and social events throughout the year. Furthermore, every year SOTA provides an incentive that helps active registered members from UTEP pay for some of the expenses to attend the Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA) conference.

All students interested in the field of occupational therapy are invited to join.
